Restoration of the stained glass windows

Through a research in the Modern Archive of the Veneranda Arca, it was possible to establish that the stained glass window of the southern rose window were made in 1866 in Austria by the atelier of Alberto Neuhauser. The rose window is divided in five sections and depicts St. Daniel, St. Bonaventura, St. Anthony, St. Prosdicimo and St. Justina.

Restoration of the Basilica of St. Anthony of Padua

Before the restoration, the lower part of the stained-glass, under the feet of the Saints, were decorated with only roundel which created an un-even light effect. For this reason, panels of mouth-blown glass of the same color of the original ones were inserted in the lower parts of the rose sections to create continuity bewteen the upper and the lower part of the rose window.
